Virtual Sets

Virtual Production

Why wait for the Golden Hour when you can control the sun with a slider? I design immersive, photorealistic 3D environments that eliminate the logistical nightmares of location scouting. Whether you’re shooting on an LED volume or a traditional green screen, I build the digital worlds that bring your production to life.

Uses

Unreal Engine Environment Design: High-fidelity, real-time 3D worlds optimized for par-parallax and camera tracking.

LED Volume Content: Custom-built digital backgrounds designed specifically for in-camera visual effects (ICVFX).

Broadcast & Corporate Virtual Sets: Sleek, professional digital stages for talk shows, news, and keynote presentations.

Hybrid Green Screen Solutions: High-resolution 3D plates for traditional compositing workflows.

Asset Optimization: Converting high-poly 3D models into performant, real-time assets that won’t lag during your shoot.

The Process

Step 1: The Debrief

We discuss the project, ideas, reference, and technical requirements.

Step 2: Environment Blocking

We define the scale, layout, and shooting angles of your digital set using simple geometry.

Step 3: Look Dev & Lighting

I apply high-end textures and realistic lighting scenarios to ensure the digital world feels grounded.

Step 4: Real-Time Optimization / Rendering

I bake lighting and optimize assets to ensure a consistent frame rate, crucial for smooth camera tracking. If the final destination is greenscreen footage, I render high resolution plates ready for VFX.

Step 5: Integration & Delivery

Delivering the game engine project files, high-res plates ready for your production pipeline, or fully composited shots ready for final output.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

On average, a 60-second animated graphic takes between 1 to 6 weeks from the initial debrief to final delivery. This allows time for storyboarding, feedback cycles, sound design, and render time. Simpler projects can be done in as little as 24-48hrs. If you have a tighter deadline, let me know and we can discuss options or simplifying the visual style.

I can work with what you have! If you already have a script and recorded VO, I can jump straight into storyboarding. If you’re starting from scratch, I can assist with script development and help source professional voice talent that fits your brand’s tone.

Absolutely! During the storyboarding phase, I focus on integrating your brand’s color palette, typography, and tone. Whether you need the video to feel like an extension of your brand or a completely new cinematic experience, we establish that look together before any animation begins.

My process is designed to prevent any surprise results. I typically include two rounds of major revisions: one at the Storyboard/Style Frame stage and one after the first full animation draft. This ensures we are aligned on the vision at each stage throughout the process. Minor tweaks are normally not charged as a revision.

The standard delivery is a high-bitrate 4K or 1080p MP4 (H.264) optimized for web and social media and a .mov optimized for editing into your timeline. If you need specific formats, just let me know during the debrief and I'll deliver in that codec.

Project files can be included.

Once the final payment is made, you own the full usage rights to the final rendered video. I retain the right to showcase the work in my portfolio (unless we have a signed NDA).
